How to Rent Games Online
by webmaster on Apr.29, 2010, under Rent Games Online
When you fancy getting hold of red dead redemption but don’t have the funds, or perhaps the stomach, for it, you can always rent online from websites that will send the game disc to you through the post.
How these web sites work, how much they typically cost and whether they’re actually worth it at all will all be discussed in this article.
First, how they work.
Game rental web sites work by taking your address and card details and -in return for a monthly fee – sending you games that you can select from the company’s selection on the site.
Don’t let the monthly fee thing fool you into thinking that you’re entering into a long-term contract, though.
Game rental works on a rolling one month contract for the most part so it’ll continue until you cancel it which you can usually do either online or with a simple phone call.
However, there are some companies which offer even less commitment.
For example, there are some that work on a credit system: you buy a number of credits and then redeem them for discs. Nothing to cancel which can be a plus if you’re a bit – or very, or extra ordinarily – absent minded.
If you’re far from being commitment phobic you can also go the other way and pay up front for the service for a number of months.
However, this is not recommended unless you’ve used the service for a while in case you get saddled with an unreliable service.
When it comes to cost note that many game rental sites are also DVD rental sites.
Since films are still more popular than games, DVD rental sites tend to have some of the most competitive (read: cheapest) prices, though specialist games rental sites may have better selection, more gaming news available on site and more specialist game rental deals.
These deals could include a super light user offer, for example, that, for a low price, offers just one disc per month. Perfect if you like to play a game until your thumbs drop off before making a move onto something else.
Prices usually start at just under five pounds a month and can go up to thirty pounds for game rental offers that allow you to get a lot of discs out at the same time or that make sure you get the discs before anyone else.
Note that many of these sites can help you to save money because they have introductory DVD rental free trials or game rental trials when you first sign up.
You can usually get longer free trials either through referral from a friend or from referral by a game rental comparison website.

Rent Xbox 360 Games Online – Why It Rocks
by webmaster on Apr.28, 2010, under Rent Games Online
When I first started becoming a hardcore gamer, I began to wonder where I could rent Xbox 360 games online. If you have read my other articles, you will have noted that I used to spend hundreds of dollars every month on games, and that was when they were only $50 each! Now, they are running for $60 for a brand new game. Let me say that I am definitely glad I finally got out of that ‘must buy’ mindset.
Time to delve back in history for a little bit. I used to never even think of the thought of why I was buying a brand new game that no one else has played before minus the critics. Sure, they may be rating the game high because they like it, but who really knows? I have played a lot of games that were rated high by critics, but ended up being really terrible (Warhammer Online rings a bell….). Here I was buying every new game for the xbox 360 that game out. Of course I do not regret buying the Halo games or Guitar Hero games, but I do regret buying silly games that I played for a week and have since sold to gaming stores for a fraction of the price I paid for them.
It wasn’t until I, luckily, started hanging out with a gamer I met in college. He was hooked with the idea that renting games online was the way to go. Being a big Xbox 360 fan as myself, I figured that he must be on to something.
I quickly went online and did some research. I found some very positive reviews for a few companies and I signed up with one of them. To this day, I still am a subscriber to this company because I have never had a reason to not be a subscriber. They always deliver my games on time, they always have the games I want in stock, and I always have 2 games out at a time. It is absolutely perfect for me.
I recommend that all consoles should, of course, rent games online. Buying games is fine, but I am a firm believer that everything should be tested before bought, especially with games. Do you buy a car without test driving it? Eh, I bought my Nissan without test driving but it was used!
So, if you’d like to rent xbox 360 games online as soon as tomorrow, check out my review for the company I use. I provide information on why I choose them.

I hear a lot of good things about gamefly, but when i got to the website it says 15.99 a month! that is quite a lot for me. I haven’t been to blockbuster for awhile so idk what they charge anymore.
Can anyone give me the best place to rent games whether online or at a store, and give me a good reason why.

Metal Gear Solid 4 I heard the online multiplayer is not good. So should I just rent it instead?
